There are many advantages to purchasing a used cell phone. For many, the number one reason may be for financial reasons. Cell phones can be very expensive to obtain, so by purchasing a pre owned cell phone, you will save considerably over buying new. For instance: A Blackberry 8700 can go as high as $299 new. And finally the main reason why we should purchase used cell phones: The environmental impact it has. Cell phones are made up of many toxic chemicals that include lead and mercury. Over time, these chemicals leak out, and into the ground, eventually entering our water system. The sad truth is that many, if not most of these discarded cell phones are far from being useless.
